Sono nato a Roma nel 1964 e lavoro nel settore dell’informatica.
La fotografia ha sempre accompagnato la mia vita come una passione silenziosa, che solo in tempi recenti ho avuto l’opportunità di coltivare con maggiore continuità e dedizione.
Il mio percorso è iniziato da autodidatta, spinto dal desiderio di comprendere la tecnica e, soprattutto, di affinare lo sguardo. Ho trovato nella Street Photography il linguaggio che più mi rappresenta: diretto, sincero, radicato nell’osservazione della realtà quotidiana.
Con il tempo il mio approccio si è evoluto: alla componente street si sono affiancati elementi di documentario e narrazione poetica, nel tentativo di restituire non solo ciò che vedo, ma anche ciò che percepisco.
Vivo a Roma e, ogni volta che posso, parto. Quando mi trovo in un luogo nuovo lo attraverso come un esploratore: mi lascio guidare dall’intuito, attratto da storie nascoste, gesti, luci e atmosfere che sfuggono allo sguardo distratto.
Approfondisco costantemente la fotografia attraverso corsi, mostre, libri e lo studio dei grandi maestri. Ho frequentato il percorso SEP (Smettere di essere principiante) e successivamente la Masterclass con il maestro Marco Scataglini, durante la quale ho partecipato con alcuni miei progetti alla pubblicazione di OI Mag, magazine da lui diretto.
Ho inoltre seguito il corso di Street Photography e Street Stories presso Officine Fotografiche con Stefano Mirabella, e il percorso “In cerca d’autore” con Augusto Pieroni, curatore, critico e storico della fotografia, autore di testi fondamentali come Portfolio! e Leggere la fotografia. Infine, ho frequentato il corso di reportage con Mariano Doronzo, un’esperienza particolarmente significativa che continuo ad approfondire.
Questi percorsi mi hanno permesso di comprendere la complessità della fotografia: come approcciarla, come costruire un linguaggio personale e cosa si desidera realmente comunicare attraverso le immagini.
A questo affianco una costante ricerca attraverso libri fotografici, che colleziono e studio per approfondire il lavoro di autori che hanno contribuito a definire il linguaggio della fotografia contemporanea.
Tra i volumi che hanno avuto un ruolo importante nella formazione del mio sguardo, posso citare: Monument e Minutes to Midnight di Trent Parke, End Time City e Half Life di Michael Ackerman, Capitolio e Odyssey di Christopher Anderson, Beyond Here di Alison McCauley e The Pursuit of the Numinous di Barry Talis. Ognuno di questi lavori ha contribuito, in modo diverso, alla costruzione del mio approccio visivo e narrativo.

I was born in Rome in 1964 and I work in the IT sector.
Photography has always accompanied my life as a quiet passion, which only in recent years I have had the opportunity to pursue with greater consistency and dedication.
My journey began as a self-taught photographer, driven by the desire to understand technique and, above all, to refine my way of seeing. I found in Street Photography the language that best represents me: direct, honest, and rooted in the observation of everyday reality.
Over time, my approach has evolved: alongside street photography, elements of documentary work and poetic narration have gradually emerged, in an attempt to convey not only what I see, but also what I feel.
I live in Rome, and whenever I can, I set off to new places. When I find myself in an unfamiliar environment, I move through it like an explorer: guided by instinct, drawn to hidden stories, gestures, light, and atmospheres that escape the distracted gaze.
I continuously deepen my practice through courses, exhibitions, books, and the study of photography masters. I attended the SEP program (Stopping Being a Beginner) and later the Masterclass with photographer Marco Scataglini, during which I participated with some of my projects in the publication of OI Mag, a magazine he directs.
I also took part in the Street Photography and Street Stories course at Officine Fotografiche with Stefano Mirabella, and the “In Search of an Author” course with Augusto Pieroni, curator, critic, and photography historian, author of key texts such as Portfolio! and Reading Photography. Finally, I attended a documentary photography course with Mariano Doronzo, a particularly meaningful experience that I continue to explore and develop.
These experiences have helped me understand the complexity of photography: how to approach it, how to build a personal visual language, and what one truly wants to communicate through images.
Alongside this, I maintain an ongoing research practice through photobooks, which I collect and study to better understand the work of those who have shaped contemporary photographic language.
Among the books that have significantly influenced the development of my visual approach are Monument and Minutes to Midnight by Trent Parke, End Time City and Half Life by Michael Ackerman, Capitolio and Odyssey by Christopher Anderson, Beyond Here by Alison McCauley, and The Pursuit of the Numinous by Barry Talis.
